As a congregation, we have been on a remarkable journey together. From the initial steps taken by our board of stewardship to begin laying out first steps of a St. Michael campus master plan to our first town hall meeting with Groth Design Group (GDG) where we were able to listen to the hearts and voices of our congregation to continuing behind the scenes work by our lay leaders and church and school administrators, we continue to seek and discern God’s will for the path forward in ministry.
One very important step that was identified early on in the process was the need to greatly reduce and even eliminate the $2.4 million dollars of debt that currently restricts bold steps for future ministry.
The Giving Challenge has spoken to our hearts as the people of God in this place, prayerfully considering how each of us can help contribute to making the debt disappear. We’ve learned about giving from the HEART: giving happily, eternally, abundantly, regularly and today to the mission of God at St. Michael.

Now, we arrive at Commitment Weekend.
We do so with gratitude and encouragement. The opportunity is before all of us to step forward and bring our best whatever that may be.
The Lord has richly blessed this process, and I pray that each of us will respond in faith, trusting in His plan. This is more than a moment. It is an opportunity to shape the future of ministry at St. Michael for generations to come.
Just as those who came before us stepped forward in faith to build our church and our school, we too have the opportunity to leave a lasting legacy. Their generosity has impacted each of us. Now, we are called to do the same for future children and their families.
May we move forward together with faith, unity and trust in the One who provides all things.

Please bring your completed commitment card to worship this weekend. During all of our worship services this weekend, we’ll have an opportunity to come forward and leave our commitments at the altar before the Lord for the upbuilding of His kingdom. Children are also invited to bring their Built on the Rock Banks forward during our commitment time as well!
Should you need a commitment card, extras will be available in worship this weekend!
