To ensure that our congregation’s ministries and missions remain strong and effective, and that new opportunities may be pursued and funded, the foundation was established to provide a means by which people can express special gratitude to God for the blessings they have received. In effect, this enables their gift to endure forever.
The foundation, which is aligned with the mission and vision of our church, was established to extend the ministries and missions of the church by supporting opportunities that are beyond the scope of the congregation’s operating budget.
A board of directors manages the foundation according to its constitution, bylaws and policies. The pastor and principal serve as ex officio members of the board.
Yes. Gifts to Saint Michael Foundation qualify as charitable donations. Deductible gifts can be made in a variety of ways, including certain kinds of gifts that allow you to receive income during your lifetime or to continue using donated property for your lifetime.
As directed by donors or by policy, assets are categorized as short-term, long-term, or endowment.
No, all gifts are pooled together so they have a cumulative effect making even the smallest gift significant.
Direct Gifts of Cash (Check) or Property: real estate, stocks, mutual funds and other appreciated property.
Life Insurance Policy: Include the Foundation as a beneficiary or as its owner.
IRA, 401(K), 403(B) and other retirement plans: Name the Foundation as a beneficiary or bless both ministry and your heirs through a charitable remainder trust.
Charitable Gift Annuity: Receive regular fixed payments during your lifetime, save on taxes, and make a future Foundation gift.
Bequests and Wills: Leave a dollar amount, specific assets, or a percentage of your estate to the Foundation through a bequest in your will, trust or estate plan.
Honor and Remembrance Cards: Designate a gift in memory of a loved one.
Checks and title to donated property or securities may be made in the name of Saint Michael Foundation.
